Laboratory Accreditation

Since June 2022, GCMTI has been accredited by Hong Kong Accreditation Service (HKAS) on the test category “Chinese Medicine” under the Hong Kong Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (HOKLAS) for performing specific laboratory activities as listed in HOKLAS Directory of Accredited Laboratory (available from its website: http://www.hkas.gov.hk).

Laboratories of GCMTI are now in conformity with the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017 – “General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories”. This accreditation demonstrates technical competence of GCMTI in conducting the laboratory activities as well as implementation of management system relevant to laboratory operation. This laid an important and a solid foundation of GCMTI for setting up the international recognised quality and reference standards of Chinese Medicines.
