GCMTI of DH won the Testing and Certification Manpower Development Corporate Award (Platinum Award) in the Testing and Certification Manpower Development Award Scheme 2023-24

The Government Chinese Medicines Testing Institute (GCMTI) won the Testing and Certification Manpower Development Corporate Award (Platinum Award) in the Testing and Certification Manpower Development Award Scheme 2023-24 launched by Hong Kong Council for Testing and Certification (HKCTC). 

The biennial Award Scheme organised by the HKCTC aimed at recognising and promoting testing and certification (T&C) bodies to invest in continuous improvement and development. GCMTI was awarded the highest tier Platinum Award. The encouraging result not only acknowledged DH’s achievements and efforts made in personnel training and human resources development, but also demonstrated GCMTI’s commitment in promoting the high-quality development of Chinese medicines testing and certification industry in Hong Kong.

GCMTI continuously strives for excellence in quality management. Since 2022, GCMTI has been accredited under HOKLAS in the test category of Chinese medicine. This accreditation recognised that GCMTI’s laboratory management system and technical competence of analysis meet the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (scope of accreditation).
