Since June 2022, GCMTI has been accredited by Hong Kong Accreditation Service (HKAS) in the test category of “Chinese Medicine” under the Hong Kong Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (HOKLAS) in accordance with the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017 – “General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories”. This accreditation demonstrates GCMTI’s technical competence in conducting laboratory activities, as well as the implementation of a management system relevant to laboratory operation. It lays an important and solid foundation for GCMTI in establishing internationally recognised quality and reference standards for Chinese Medicines.
